    Pixar Studios  Emeryville, CA. 2005
    Designed and taught Maya workshops at Pixar University through the Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC).

    Curriculum Development for college-level classes on Animation Layout Background and Design, Special Effects and Video Editing, and 3D Modeling, Texturing, and Animation for film and games. Taught theory and practical 3D applications.

    Curriculum Development for college-level classes on 3D Modeling, Texturing, and Animation for film and games. Taught theory and practical 3D applications, including Maya, 3D Studio MAX, Photoshop, and the Unreal Tournament Editor. Managed video game production teams as mentor of Game Production club. Served on Faculty Development and Admissions Committees.

    Young Artists At Work - Yerba Buena Center for the Arts  San Francisco, CA. 2003
    Directed art production for 3D Shockwave game Club Busta Buena, accepted to the Winter 2004 Bang the Machine show. Worked closely with programmer to produce game engine. Developed curriculum and taught 15 at-risk youth 3D modeling, texturing, and animation to complete game in 14 weeks.

    Idle Hands Collectible Card Game  San Francisco, CA. 2001.
    Collaborated with game designer to design look and feel for game. Produced final design and art. Managed art assets and printing.
     

    GAME AND FILM 3D ARTIST

    Proton Media  Philadelphia, PA. 2005
    Optimized environment modeling and texturing for real-time corporate education game.

    The Photon Film Project  San Francisco, CA. 2003
    Created character-driven, science fiction animated short for Professors at Stanford University. Designed characters and storyboards, created all 3D assets for two characters and five settings, and animated entire three-minute short including expressive character movement and special effects.

    Subliminal Games  Chicago, IL. 2003
    Senior Artist. Created textured, low-polygon characters, spaceships, and scenery assets for PC game set in the Relic Homeworld universe. Managed team of five contract artists.

    Tour of Duty Team  Toronto, Canada. 2002
    Senior Artist. Modeled and textured low-polygon scenery and weapon assets for PC game set in the Vietnam War. Distributed in Computer Gaming World, Fall 2002.

    The Mirage Project  Chicago, IL. 2002
    Modeled, textured, and animated lead characters for online 3D game.

    Zform LLC  Amherst, MA. 2001
    Created Low-polygon models for PC game.
     

    WEB AND PRINT DESIGNER / PROJECT MANAGER

    NextPlanetOver.com  San Francisco, CA. 1998-2000
    Site Design: Responsible for online storefront and magazine design. Developed Interface Architecture and worked closely with merchandisers and programmers.

    Project Management: Daily Production Manager responsible for coordinating across departments, managing production team, coding and graphics work, Quality Assurance, and supervising daily builds. Developed time-saving strategies for production. Instituted Affiliate Program, Live Customer Chat and Foreign Shipping. Worked with partner companies to establish services, managed international shipping laws, and user interface decisions. Extensive use of Javascript and Vbscript to seamlessly integrate new systems into established code.

    Print Design: Designed Inserts for international publications and promotional T-Shirts and Mugs. Produced convention materials for site launch. Created annual Appreciation and Holiday cards.
     

    High School Teacher

    Harbor City Learning Center  Baltimore, MD. 1995-1998
    Inner City English Teacher: responsible for teaching literature and writing to five classes a day, thirty students a class. Curriculum Designer: created and implemented "Humanities" curriculum including literature, art, logic, health, and dance. Member of Teach For America, one of 500 chosen nationally out of 3500 candidates.
    AWARDS:
        1998 Certified for Secondary English, Baltimore City Public Schools.
        1997 Granted tenure by the Baltimore City Public Schools.
        1997 Statewide Award for the Advancement of the Humanities.
        1997 Statewide Maryland Service Learning Award.
        1996 Citywide Excellence in Teaching Award.

    Created 3D art in MAX to demonstrate Shockwave3D tools. Researched low poly modeling and optimization techniques.
