SESSION TWO: Expressive Motion
In the second class, students participated in activities intended to teach communication with full-body motion. Students interacted with vocabularies of motion designed to move communication away from faces and into entire forms. They practiced expressing emotional qualities with full-body motion, and began to learn which motions most effectively communicated their ideas as animation. This class was performed at the same time students were learning to animate characters using mesh deform modifiers. It was designed to aid the students in creating their "Emotional Boxes" animation homework, in which they were required to express emotional qualities on basic box shapes. |
